Data Analyst at Whatwapp, will work across teams to investigate, understand, and present insights into our data. This figure must be proactive in preempting business needs, with the goal of using data to help the company make better decisions.  

The Data Analyst will support the business in areas such as:

  1. Designing and evaluating experiments (A/B testing)
  2. Creating a streamlined and impactful reporting/dashboard structure (our BI tools of choice are Preset and Grafana)
  3. Defining and assessing the impact & significance of metrics (what to look at, how to look at it, and why it may have changed)
  4. Assisting in the creation and interpretation of predictive models (e.g. customer segmentation, LTV, churn)
  5. Automating analyses via an SQL and python-based ETL pipeline framework


This role should combine good business understanding with solid technical/analytics skills, and thus the figure must be able to relate well with the product, management, and marketing

The Data Analyst should have familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Domo, PowerBI, Looker, Preset, Grafana, or similar), and should also be able to contribute to data governance

This figure should have technical experience in:

  • SQL (and relational databases)
  • Python
    • Pandas
    • NumPy
    • Scikit learn
    • Matplotlib
  • R
  • End-to-end understanding of data pipeline 
  • Version control and deployment strategies
  • Fluent English
  • Basic AWS infrastructure (S3, Athena, Lambda, EC2)
